Anti captivity freeze mob
Event Date: Sat September 24 2011
There are hundreds of dolphins and whales being held in terrible conditions all over Europe and the rest of the world. Even the UK,
which currently holds none in captivity except in accredited rescue centres, has no law in place to prevent someone from buying a wild cetacean and using it for entertainment and profit!
This event is being organised to create anti-captivity awareness as part of International Marine Animal Defenders Association (IMADA) Week (17-24 September, 2011).
Time for freeze: Five minutes from 11.30 until 11.35am - Saturday 24th September.
Wear: anti-captivity t-shirts; dolphin, whale costumes, masks or hats…
Bring: ‘toys’ that dolphins and whales are forced to play with; balls and chains; blow up dolphins and whales or balloons, anything else you can think of!
We will post a time and place to meet up in advance for anyone who wants partners or more information on the day.

IMADA is not any one organization; it is a platform on which to build a coalition of groups, organisations and individuals that defend marine animals from capture, captivity, abuse, and neglect.
