Help Us Flash Mob Bournemouth
Event Date: Fri July 01 2011
Help us flash mob Bournemouth in your lunch time.
Do you believe everyone has a right to a safe place to sleep?
Can you spare 5 minutes to be in Bournemouth Square on the 1st July 2011 at exactly 12:30 pm (lunchtime)?
Then join us to launch BCHA’s new Sleep Safe Campaign by taking part in our Sleep Safe flash mob! Just turn up at 12:30 and lay down in the square for 5 minutes (pyjamas optional).
By taking part you will help increase awareness of the harsh reality facing those that have nowhere safe to sleep and help us to launch our Sleep Safe campaign to the public, and the media.
Money raised through the Sleep Safe campaign will help support the work of St Paul’s Night Shelter in Bournemouth, which provides a safe place to sleep for around 500 people each year.
Please do spare 5 minutes to take part and pass this invite to as many people as you can, all we ask is that you note the following:
If you would like to bring something to lay on, that’s OK providing you take it away with you afterwards.
Please ensure that you leave plenty of space in the natural walkways of the square to allow shoppers and visitors to the town centre to move past safely.
To help with the visual impact of this event please lay down in the space between New Look and the Obscura Cafe.
By taking part in this event you are giving your agreement that any photos and/or video of the event can be used for publicity purposes.
