Amsterdam Mob #3

Those crazy Dutch are at it again!

You are invited to take part in Amsterdam Flash Mobs, the project that creates an inexplicable mob of people in Amsterdam City for ten minutes or less. Please forward this to other people you know who might like to join.

Location: Amsterdam City Centre
Start time: Saturday, June 19th, 16:00 h.
Duration: 10 minutes
What to bring: See instructions below

(1) At some point during the day on June 19th, synchronize your watch.

(2) By 16:00, based on the month of your birth, please situate yourselves at the locations below and ACT CASUAL. NOTE: if you are attending the MOB with friends, you may all meet in the same location, so long as at least one of you has the correct birth month for that location.

January, February, March, April:
Albert Heijn Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal, behind the ‘Dam Square’*. Meet at the right site of the stairs. MAKE SURE TO BRING AN ORANGE ALBERT HEIJN BAG.

May, June, July, August:
National Monument at the Dam*. Meet at the side facing the ‘Bijenkorf’. MAKE SURE TO BRING A RED ‘DIRK VAN DEN BROEK’ OR ‘BAS VAN DER HEIJDEN’ BAG.

September, October, November, December:
Bridge Damstraat / Oudezijds Voorburgwal*. Meet on the bridge. MAKE SURE TO BRING A BIG WHITE PLASTIC BAG, LIKE ‘SUPER DE BOER’ OR ‘ETOS’.

(3) Then or soon thereafter, a MOB representative will appear at the location, enjoying a ‘lolly pop’. He or she will pass around slips of paper, on which four important pieces of information will be printed: (a) the MOB site, (b) detailed MOB instructions (c) a particular item at the site, and (d) a secret phrase. Commit all to memory and put the slip in your pocket.

(4) Leave the location and walk to the MOB site as quickly as possible WITHOUT ATTRACTING ATTENTION.
